One-Step RT-PCR Kit II (MAGscriptase/MAGHot)
The One-Step RT-PCR Kit II is designed for reverse transcription and PCR amplification of specific target RNA from either total RNA or mRNA. This one-tube, two-enzyme system provides sensitive, quick and reproducible analysis of even rare RNAs. The system uses MAGscript reverse transcriptase for first-strand cDNA synthesis and Hot Start Taq DNA polymerase for PCR amplification. MAGscript Reverse Transcriptase (MAGscript RTase) is genetically engineered version of Moloney Murine Leukemia Virus Reverse Transcriptase (M-MLV RTase), which lacks a 3’ to 5’ exonucleolytic proofreading function and has a weak RNase H activity as compared to AMV reverse transcriptase, and is useful for full-length cDNA amplification. The kit contains MAGHot Taq DNA polymerase, which is a complex mixture of a thermostable Taq DNA polymerase and specific monoclonal antibodies. It can eliminate amplification artifacts such as primer-dimer formation and mis-priming during pre-amplification stage.
